  • Explore the broader region: Take advantage of free travel to and from neighbouring Local Government Areas, as far as Grafton* in the north, Bellingen in the west and Macksville in the south. Please note free travel does not include trips on Busways buses within Grafton also the trial excludes Woopi Connect On Demand Services (Forest Coach Lines).

Note:

  • School services on Fridays are not included in the free travel

When can I travel for free?

Free bus travel will be available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Friday 19 April to Sunday 14 July.

 

What routes are included?

You can see the routes included in the free bus travel trial by accessing the timetables from CDC-Forest and Busways below:

·  Forest Coach Lines Timetable

 

Are any services excluded? 

  • Free travel does not apply to school bus services, only public route services.
  • Free travel does not apply to Busways services in Grafton, only to Forest Coach Lines services to Grafton. 
  • Free travel does not apply to Woopi Connect On Demand services by Forest Coach Lines.
  • Public Holidays are not included in FREE Travel, unless on a Friday

Is there a limit to how many trips I can take?

No, you are encouraged to enjoy as many free bus trips as you would like during the trial period.

 

How do I find out when a bus is coming to my nearest stop?

Plan your trip using Transport for NSW trip planner: www.transportnsw.info

 

How do I book a ticket?

Tickets do not need to be booked.  Simply plan your trip using Transport for NSW trip planner (www.transportnsw.info) or the bus timetables linked at www.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au/freebuses  and jump on board.

 

Do I need to book in advance?

You do not need to book in advance for public bus services. Please be aware that if a bus is full you may need to wait for the next bus.

 

Does the offer include school services?

Free travel does not apply to school services, only public route services.

 

What is the purpose of the free trial?

The trial is intended to introduce people to the option of bus travel and encourage use of public transport.

 

Will the trial be extended?

The planned end date for the trial is Sunday 14 July.
