Community Infrastructure Renewal Grants Program

The program assists not-for-profit organisations to undertake infrastructure renewal projects that enhance the economic, social, and environmental well-being of the local community. A total of $150,000 is available for renewal projects on City owned assets

Projects that could be eligible for funding may include:

  • refurbishment of existing infrastructure
  • upgrade of existing infrastructure

Projects must align with the City’s goals and strategic plans and must target community needs and result in direct benefits to the wider community. This funding will assist in increasing participation and accessibility for the residents of the local government area.

The objectives of the Community Infrastructure Renewal Grants Program are for City of Coffs Harbour to:

  • Assist in the provision of innovative community projects that target community needs and result in direct benefits to the wider community
  • Assist in increasing the participation, accessibility and range of community organisations for the residents of the Coffs Harbour local government area.
  • Provide a consistent, equitable and transparent process to respond to requests by community organisations for funding of capital infrastructure
  • Encourage partnerships and joint ventures to maximise outcomes

Some recent projects that have received funding include:
  • Westside Tennis Club – refurbishment of kitchen and toilets.
  • Coffs Regional Community Gardens – construction of concrete footpath.
  • Woolgoolga Neighbourhood Centre – upgrade of kitchen.
  • York Street Oval – modified shipping container as canteen for Northern Storm FC.
