Studies and Plans

City of Coffs Harbour completed the Middle Creek Flood Study and Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan in 2021.

This updates the older flood estimates using more accurate terrain data, an improved understanding of local rainfall patterns, and more sophisticated modelling techniques.

The floodplain risk management plan includes a number of options to mitigate risks across the Middle Creek Catchment.

The most recent flood study information for Bonville and Pine Creek is still contained in the Bonville,  Pine and Middle Creek Flood Study from 1995. An updated flood study is currently being developed.

Currents Works and Projects

City of Coffs Harbour has engaged specialist flood consultants JBPacific to undertake a detailed Flood Study for Bonville and Pine Creek.

The Flood Study is the first stage of the floodplain management process. Its goal is to provide detailed mapping so that we will have an even better understanding of potential flood risks to assist with future development, planning, community education and mitigation works.
