Showtime for elite women’s footy at Coffs Harbour

Big league AFL is coming to Coffs Harbour this weekend – and young families can now secure tickets to the big show for not much more than the price of a cup of coffee. 

People can get their hands on two adult tickets for just $15 in a special two-for-one deal for the AFLW clash between the Sydney Swans and the Richmond Tigers at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium on Saturday 14 September. 

Children under 18 years of age will be admitted free. 

“You can’t beat that for value. Head along and see top quality footy and soak up the atmosphere of a regular season competition match that is normally only scheduled at the major metropolitan centres like Sydney,” City of Coffs Harbour City Planning and Communities Director Chris Chapman said. 

The Tigers and the Swans are running eighth and ninth respectively, after Richmond defeated the GWS Giants on Sunday while Sydney was edged out by St Kilda.

There is no charge for youngsters to catch the game though they need to redeem their free ticket via Ticketmaster. 

“The Swans have been regular visitors to Coffs where they have run activities for the community so let’s paint the City red and white for this big event on our doorstep,” Mr Chapman said. 

“It will be a chance to make memories and watch elite professional athletes soar for mind-blowing marks and pull off crunching tackles in the fast-paced game that is AFLW.” 

Action at the stadium will kick off from 12.35pm.
