Coffs Creek revitalisation is the establishment of a rock retaining wall near England’s Park. The rock retaining wall is vital to protect the southern end of Coffs Creek from the threat of coastal erosion and protect the waterway. This project will also benefit the community by providing a new footpath and boardwalk to improve pedestrian access, as well as a new jetty pier and seating space for everyone to enjoy the area.
Planned improvements include:
The project is a key action item from the Coffs Creek Estuary Coastal Zone Management Plan that was adopted by Council in 2015.
The rock retaining wall will protect Park Beach Reserve, England’s Park from impacts of coastal erosion due to storm events and climate change.
Proudly joint funded $1.9 million NSW Government Grant and City of Coffs Harbour.
