Island Road Sapphire Beach Footbridge Renewal

The existing timber bridge at Island Rd Sapphire Beach will be replaced with a Fibre-reinforced Polymer (FRP) Bridge. The new bridge will be placed over the existing bridge footprint and alignment.

Works commence October 2024 with the construction taking 2-4 weeks to complete, weather dependent.

The bridge will be closed during construction.

Project Scope

• Replacement of timber bridge with a Treadwell FRP Bridge.
• Additional handrails added to new bridge. 

Funding

Project funding of $70,000 was provided by the City of Coffs Harbour
