We have upgraded playground equipment to provide better play opportunities for young children and seating.

The playground design follows guidelines in the Coffs Harbour Open Space Strategy 2010 which the community contributed to via surveys of households, students, schools and relevant associations as well as liaison with sports clubs and stakeholder workshops.

A new Public Realm Strategy is currently being developed. This includes not just green spaces but all external spaces available for public use, such as: streets, forecourts, squares, bicycle and pedestrian links and waterways.

Scope

New play equipment, pathways, picnic table and shelter in Seacrest Boulevard park, Sandy Beach. See concept plan below for details.

Funding

The Sandy Beach park upgrade project was funded by developer contributions of $70,000.
